I think the T1i EOS is an excellent choice. I have its predecessor (XSi, 450D) and I am very happy with it. But I also like the new model could not be justified (the upgrade now, though).
If I were you I would wait for the reviews before making a decision. The following link is a good source, I recommend you every now and then to the final review and to read ISO (and performance) test results when it comes out.
All the rebels are excellent cameras. You can go wrong with any of them. This device is so that I can buy an older model, and XSI XTi or go and buy a couple of nice glasses with him. The lens is much more important
The really easy to use and produces good images, even when they know exactly what I do, haha. i love it. in learning with him, but its my first SLR. definitley had no problems with it!
